The Seattle-based coffee chain is planning to open its first location in a major city within the next two years, but the store won’t be a Starbucks-style chain.
Reese’s Book Club will be a retail store, and it won’t have a full-fledged coffee shop-like experience, according to its chief executive.
“I would describe it more as a book club, or a small bookstore with a good selection of books,” said Reese’s Chief Operating Officer, Mike DeLuca.
“You’d pick up books on your own.
There’s a variety of titles, but there’s also books that you could buy with your credit card.”
The store will include a book section and will have a selection of more than 100 titles, including a selection by some of the most popular authors on the market.
Reese said the company plans to have a presence in more than 60 major cities within the first two years.
“We’ve got a great product and great brand, and we’re excited about the opportunities in the future,” DeLucas said.

Reese’s plans to open in the first quarter of 2018, but it isn’t expected to be a permanent store.
