Genesis Health Club has announced that it has signed on as the exclusive retailer for the UFC’s “The Fight Games.”
The announcement came on Tuesday during the company’s third annual “Fight Club” event, which is taking place on Nov. 14 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The company will also host the annual “UFC On FX” event on Nov 10 in Washington.
The deal includes the exclusive global rights to distribute the game in 20 markets and to promote the event through the company, according to a release from the company.
In addition, the company is also the exclusive international retailer of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the Ultimate Fighter (TUF) reality show “TUF Nations.”
The “The Fighting Club” game is a combination of the fighting games and a variety of other video games developed by Genesis and distributed by Take-Two Interactive.
The first title to feature the fighting game engine was “The Ultimate Fighter” in 2011.
In addition to its “Fight Game” titles, “The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct” was developed by “Tucker & Dale: The Rescue Rangers.”
The company said it also is a partner with the company of “The Fighter’s Club,” the largest private-label MMA promotion in the United States.
The “Fight Games” title will debut in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
In November, “Tuck” announced that the company had signed a multi-year agreement with the UFC for the development of its “The UFC 2” title.
The company also is developing “The MMA Fighter,” a new title that will debut for the first time in the “Fight League” in November.
