The 2018 NFL Draft has finally arrived, and the biggest winners have been revealed.
But we still have some surprises to uncover.
The first major win was for one of the NFL’s top-rated players in the class of 2019, quarterback Jameis Winston.
The Winston sweepstakes has drawn plenty of attention.
He has the highest overall grade among the top-15 quarterbacks in this year’s draft class, according to 247Sports Composite.
He’s also the No. 1 overall player in ESPN’s 2018 Power Index and No. 7 in our rankings of the best quarterbacks.
The Florida State product is a Heisman Trophy finalist who’s going to make the jump to the NFL next season.
He also won’t be able to get a job in the NFL, but that doesn’t mean he won’t get a good one.ESPN.com reported that Winston has been in contact with several NFL teams, and he could be a free agent after this season.
The 2018 Winston sweep is just one of many notable free agent signings to have been announced by the 2018 NFL season.
Other notable free agents included:Arizona wide receiver Marqise Lee, who was expected to go to Cleveland, signed with the Cleveland Browns.
Former NFL running back Lamar Miller has joined the Dallas Cowboys as an unrestricted free agent.
And quarterback Sam Darnold has agreed to a contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals.
